I realised the dormant potential of the Apple Watch yesterday.
It’s full of apps and functionality, but I never use it.
I have the Dominos app, Uber, Trello, Evernote, you name it. It’s all on there.
Yet, whenever I need any of those things, I pull out my phone.
Why is that? What’s missing?
You guessed it, a voice user interface.
Right now, you can’t use Siri to access any of the functionality in any of the apps on the Apple Watch.
I tried ordering an Uber… Nothing.
Tried Dominos… Nothing.
For the Apple Watch to fully reach its potential, it needs Siri to be the access point to all of the functionality within it. Otherwise, it’s just a watch with a heart monitor.
I hope that’s what’s in store for 2020
